It’s difficult to talk of Brett Sims Motorsport without talking about the man himself, since Brett has been involved with motor engineering, specifically the preparation of all kinds of racing engines, for over 30 years. He began in his teenage years racing motocross motor cycles and preparing engines with his father, (who still rides British classic motor cycles to this day – well in to his seventies!)

Brett will tell you he was fortunate enough to join the much-respected Richard Longman company in 1987, and when Longmans closed in March 2007 Brett established Brett Sims Motorsport at his New Milton premises on the edge of the New Forest in 2009 with a very clear cut objective:

‘To be the very best specialist in the field of cylinder head and engine rebuilds

for the racing and classic car markets, and provide an engineering service

capable of developing and building the fastest, most reliable racing engines

and cylinder heads possible.’

And so, equipped with the most specialised precision machinery and an attention to detail driven to produce the finest quality engineering possible – Brett’s guiding fundamental principle is very simple –

“If it isn’t perfect, it doesn’t leave the workshop”
